In this DIY craft tutorial, we are going to learn how to make a bouncing paper frog. This is an Origami craft so it’s easy and can be done by anyone with very basic skills.
Most of the craft ideas out there are complex and give pretty much the same experience and feeling.
We have managed to put an easy craft idea that will not only make the frog look great but also make it look complicated, in reality, it’s not complicated at all.

Why Bouncing Paper Frog?
This origami style papercraft is suitable for kids from all age groups and can make an excellent fit for school craft projects.
Bouncing paper frog is an easy DIY craft idea that can keep the kids engaged for long hours as kids are naturally attracted towards animals. And when they have to create an animal which they only saw on TV or smartphone, it simply excites them.
This DIY craft idea can be used during vacations or in any special occasion. The best part with this craft idea is that it’s easy and can be performed by anyone without needing any special materials.
Enough of that, let’s look at the materials required to make this amazing craft work.
Materials Required for Jumping Frog

- Origami Craft Paper (1 Dark Green, 1 Light Green, 1 Yellow, one small piece of Black color paper and white paper
- A Ruler for measuring
- One Rounded Protractor
- A Pencil
- Glue
- Scissor
- Red strip origami paper
Once you have all the materials ready, simply follow the below instructions to create a cute little bouncing frog
Instructions to make Bouncing Paper Fog
Making this origami-style craft is easy as you simply need to focus on the fold. We have broken down the steps so that you can follow them with ease.
Step 1: Take the ruler and draw a 10 centimetre line on dark green paper.
Make sure the lines are not too straight, draw it in such a way that one end is broader than the other.

Step 2: Now cut the light green paper as shown below.

Step 3: Now apply glue to the dark green strips which you already created at step 1.

Step 4: Stick the dark green strips on light green paper as shown below.

Step 5: Make sure you get rid of uneven edges (Refer the screenshot below).

Step 6: Take the yellow paper and draw a frog using pencil and then cut it as shown below.

Step 7: Take the dark green paper and draw a small circle using the protractor (We will use it to give the skin color).

Step 8: Cut the circled green paper and stick it to frog’s body as show below.

Step 9: Don’t forget to do the same with black and white paper to give a nice looking Eye. See the below image to get an idea.

Step 10: Now take a red color paper or any color paper of your choice and roll it as shown below for creating tongue (See the below image to get an idea).

Step 11: Take the left out light green paper and cut 2 strips (See the image below).

Step 12: Attach the strips in “L” form (see below).

Step 13: Now fold the strip one over the other so we get a spring like effect.

Step 14: Put glue on both sides of spring and attach one end to the frog and the other end to the leaf that we created (Just as below).

Your paper frog is ready and should look like this.
